Vietnam 1

Thursday 18 October – At Sea

A Port talk on Phu My/Ho Chi Minh City followed by the Enrichment Talk that addressed the subject for 30 seconds and then went elsewhere.

Les almost back to normal and the comedian was great!  The mentalist was mediocre and Majority Rules was a hoot.
Friday 19 October – Nha Trang, Vietnam

Nha Trang, on the south-central coast of Vietnam, supports a population of 300,000 or so.  It is a resort town with a commercial hub and nice beaches.

Our excursion was a Countryside Drive to a Rural Village & Farmers' Market.  WE first travelled through parts of the city.  Our first stop was to the farmer’s market and then to a school across the road.  We then moved on to a commune and then a traditional house followed by a rice framing demonstration.  Tropical refreshments followed and then back to the port and its markets.

The roads were very narrow and we travelled slowly due to the road conditions (width, quality and bikes).

The weather was 32C with 100% humidity.  A nice day.
